How to Play the Easter Scavenger Hunt

The Easter Scavenger Hunt is a fun and exciting activity to celebrate Easter with your loved ones. This game involves hiding clues and treasures (like chocolate eggs or small gifts) in different locations, guiding participants through riddles until they find their final surprise. It’s perfect for kids and families who want to create special memories together!

We’ve prepared a free downloadable PDF that includes 6 pre-written clue cards and 2 customizable cards, so you can adapt the game to any environment or theme. Below, we’ll explain how to organize it:

How to Organize Your Easter Scavenger Hunt?

1. Choose Your Clues

Review the clues included in the PDF and select the ones that best fit the available locations in your home or garden. Here are some examples of the clues we’ve included:

  • Happy Easter! Are you ready to hunt for your treat? The first clue is where you brush your teeth.
  • There’s bunnies, chicks, and lambs, we’re told. The next clue is where your food stays cold.
  • He hops and hops while you sleep in your bed. Find the next clue where you lay your head.
  • There’s an egg-cellent surprise just for you. But first, you must look where you take off your shoes.
  • He brings treats and sweets for all the good girls and boys. Can you find the next clue hidden with your toys?
  • You’ve found all the clues! Wasn’t that fun? Your surprise awaits... Where you get clean and shiny!

Additionally, you can use the customizable cards to create your own clues based on your available space or preferred theme.

2. Plan Your Route

Decide the clue order. A logical sequence—like starting in the kitchen, moving to the bedroom, then the bathroom, and ending at the final prize—prevents backtracking and ensures smooth flow.

3. Hide the Treasures

Place the treasures (Easter eggs, candies, or small gifts) in the locations indicated by the clues. For younger children, keep the hiding spots easy to find; for older kids, you can make them a bit more challenging.

4. Prepare the Clues

Print and cut out the clue cards from the PDF. If you plan to play the game outdoors or in a weather-exposed area, consider laminating them or placing them in waterproof bags for protection.

5. Place the Clues

Hide each clue in its designated spot. The first clue should be handed to the kids to start the hunt, and each subsequent clue should lead to the next location. Make sure the final clue leads to the main prize or a collection of goodies to share among the participants.
